Have you ever needed to create a 3D rendering in just a few hours? The above image was created using a “post render” technique inside of Photoshop. This technique only requires basic photoshop skills and is perfect for any artist in a time crunch.
The base render in the left image is the only element modeled in 3D. The rest of the image was composited using various photographs and adjustment layers inside of Photoshop. It is important to plan out the final result ahead of time by gathering various reference materials and photos to montage. In most cases you will be compositing the people, vegetation, background, etc. This means in 3D you will only really be focusing on a basic lighting setup and geometry of the subject.
